Refurbished, in person

Find refurbished computers you can test before you buy

A US directory of stores selling refurbished and off-lease computers and laptops in person — with the refurb-specific facts general directories don't collect: off-lease stock, Macs, trade-ins, and each store's warranty terms, where published.

Why buy refurbished in person?

Test it today

Power it on, type on the keyboard, check the screen, listen to the fan, and run through the ports — before money changes hands, not after a box arrives.

A local counter

If something is not right, there is a physical counter to go back to and a person to talk to, instead of a returns label and a queue.

No shipping surprises

What you see is the exact machine you take home. No stock photos, no grade lottery, no waiting to find out what actually shipped.

Why refurbished, and why now

Demand for refurbished machines is established at category level — most of it just flows online. Back Market, an online refurbished marketplace, receives approximately 4.9 million monthly visits (third-party estimate). And the end of support for Windows 10 in 2025 pushed a large wave of off-lease enterprise machines into the refurbished supply chain, as businesses replaced fleets while Windows 10 support ended in 2025.

We found no national directory focused on independent, in-person refurbishers. That is the gap this site exists to fill — carefully, and without padding the listings.

An honest note about our size at launch

This directory launches with a small seed set of listings drawn from published market research — not hundreds of scraped entries. Listings are checked against primary sources as verification proceeds, and unverifiable facts are marked or removed. If your state shows no verified stores yet, that is accurate, not an oversight. The submission and correction form is how this directory grows: submit a store and it will be checked before it is listed.

Browse the verified listings

Filters for off-lease and Macs may return no results right now: no store in the seed set has a verified flag for those fields yet, and this directory does not guess. Unverified fields are labelled “not yet verified” on every listing.

Start with California

California is the first state with a verified local listing. See browse by state or go straight to refurbished computers in the Los Angeles area (South Pasadena).

Listings are informational only and do not constitute an endorsement. Warranty, grading, pricing, and inventory details are provided by the stores, may change, and should be verified directly with the store before purchase. Always inspect and test a refurbished computer before buying.
